Below is generalization of dog classifications displayed as tiers
These tiers simply describe the different breeding journeys and heritage that puppies generally go through. This way families can choose the fit that feels right for them.
Tier One | Pedigree cross/ New Purebred
This is a cross of two Pure bred (Pedigree) dogs of two different breeds that produces a cross breed. This cross breed has then gone through been bred numerous amounts making it multi-generational, carefully, bred, and, health screened, producing puppies intended for greater consistency in, both, look and, personality. Finally an association then tests the dog, resulting in a new type of Pure breed of dog. For example a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pure breed, bred with a toy poodle pure breed creating a toy cavoodle. This dog is then bred with another toy cavoodle for numerous generations creating a Theordor pure bred. Therefore the rank of the Theordor breed or any breed of this nature, under this criteria and genetical design is a tier one for the comprehensive testing, generational selective breeding, rarity and popular demand.
Tier Two | Pedigree
Pedigree means Pure bred, one breed displayed on the Orivet breed heritage report as one breed of dog with in the dog. Another possibility is the breeder has Pedigree papers proving proof that it is pure bred. This could be listed as tier 1 but due to a strong popular demand for the Theordor or any breed created of numerous reasons including rarity, it is predominantly out done by tier 1 therefore this is listed as tier two
Tier Three | Pedigree X
Two Pure bred (Pedigree) dogs of two different breeds bred together to create a cross.
Tier Four | Triple Breed
Dogs in this tier come from a combination of three distinct breeds. While this blend can produce dogs with an interesting mix of traits, predictability in appearance, temperament, and behavior can vary significantly. As a result, the consistency and refinement seen in higher-tier dogs are often less prominent within this group.
Tier Five | Broad Mix Breeds
This tier represents dogs with four or more breeds in their lineage. With such a varied genetic background, these dogs can display a wide range of physical and behavioral qualities, often without the hallmark traits or reliability associated with more defined bloodlines. They are the least predictable in terms of temperament, defects and health making them less suited for those seeking specific breed characteristics and standards.
